YZ125 Joy Ride..well not really
One day my son and I were riding behind my sister’s house on what I can best describe as a home-made mini motocross track. My son was zipping around on his PW80 and I was riding the YZ125 that I owned at the time. I ripped around a turn which was pretty rutted up from other riders and that’s when it happened. About mid-way through the turn, my rear tire snagged on a rock and catapulted me off the back. Instead of just letting go, I foolishly tried to hang on. Unfortunately the only part of the bike to grab onto was the throttle. Needless to say, I went for an exhilarating romp up through the woods, flopping around behind the bike until I finally realized that maybe I should just let go. I had been drug through the dirt and leaves, and slapped senseless by tree branches! I pushed my bike back down to the track where my son was still zooming around without a care in the world. When he saw that I was pushing my bike he figured out what had happened and poked fun at me. We ended up going home for a brief break, but went back out riding later that day. Despite the bumps and bruises, it was still a good day of riding. Since then, my entire family has gotten into riding and it’s always a blast.
