What got you interested in Motocross:

I went to my first local race in the spring of 1998 with my best friend Matt. That summer I think I basically lived at the track! I was hooked!

Why are you so passionate about the sport:

Through the past 11 years that I have been involved in the sport, I never saw it coming to the level that it is now. On Labor Day of 2008 I headed up to a local track with some friends, Matt was there practicing on his new Yamaha YZ450F. Unfortunately Matt was involved in an untimely accident, and didn’t make it off of the track that day.

Watching the Motocross community come together at this time of tragedy for his family and friends was the most amazing thing. I pulled together a benefit in honor of him and the response was incredible.

I have been so touched by all of it that this has become my life. Being a Mom to a 6 year old who is so passionate about the sport as well is a great feeling. We can be involved in an activity together and it is such a fun time for the family.

First time you rode:

In October of 2008 I went to The Garrett Michael Berg – Remembering Those Who Rode Memorial Race in Splendora Texas. To honor all of those who have past, especially Garrett Michael Berg and Matt. It was there that a friend of mine Robbie (with great courage) let me ride her vintage Hodaka Dirt Squirt 1973.

Besides Motocross… tell me a little about you, interests, hobbies…

Like I mentioned earlier, I am a Mom to a 6 year old little boy named Cameron. Spending time with him is always the best! I am an active member for the PTO at his school. Family, God and friends are my life. We love to travel especially to the Beach. Charleston South Carolina is where I grew up, so we love to go visit a few times a year! We are also huge Notre Dame Football fans and go to the games often!
